Richard Turner & Associates Ltd. (RTA) is a health and safety consultancy, specialising in construction. Our principal activities are CDM co-ordination and the production of Building Manuals, Health and Safety Files, Building Log Books and Residential User Guides.

We have many years of experience of working within the construction sector; with a background in design and contracting and a comprehensive knowledge of building services. We have a chartered engineer working for the company and have been involved with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations since their implementation in 1994. We are accredited to the SAFEcontractor scheme and hold chartered membership of CIBSE, the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM), Association of Project Safety (APS) and The Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).

We also hold the Investor in People Silver award. As a people-oriented business, the company has a core team of experienced and highly qualified staff who work closely with clients. This ensures that client expectations are met and projects are of the highest quality.  We can demonstrate long standing and positive working relationships with clients, designers, project teams, consultants, principal contractors, sub-contractors and their supply chains across the UK.

In our role as CDM co-ordinator we work nationwide with major construction companies on a wide range of schemes including large scale retail, commercial and public sector projects. We are an approved consultant for Marks & Spencer plc.

Added value services

Our extensive knowledge of CDM and the construction process is shared across all areas of the business to provide added value services to clients. This is of particular relevance to the production of high quality, project specific construction and legal documentation, including building manuals, health and safety files and building log books. We work directly with clients to promote practical, sustainable and efficient methods of reviewing and presenting building information and have received very positive feedback, in particular, to our award-winning, web-hosted manuals known as clickbm.
