Tower Blocks 30 November 2011

RTA has been appointed by Wates Living Space to collate the Health & Safety File for 2 tower blocks in Newtown, Birmingham. This project is the second appointment for us through Wates Living Space for Birmingham City Council. Information is presented in the BCC format and reviewed by the project team online at clickbm. A new biomass boiler system is being installed to heat both 13 storey tower blocks. The residences are also being refurbished at the same time.

110 Cannon Street 09 November 2011

RTA are currently collating information for Chorus Group at their prestigious project at 110 Cannon Street. The £13m project is the extension and Category A completion of this City of London office building of ground plus eleven floors as well as lower ground and basement levels. RTA will be working with the contractors and sub-contractors to deliver the Health & Safety File, Building Manual, Building Log Book and Building User Guide.

Project Completion 02 November 2011

This week sees the completion of the CDM Co-ordinator role for a world-leading animal health company. Richard Turner was the CDMC and attended site numerous times to work with the Client on this particulary sensitive project. After 10 months of construction on a new effluent treatment plant, the Health & Safety File has been checked and the project completed.

SAFEcontractor Scheme 26 October 2011

This month RTA is working on renewing our membership to SAFEcontractor - the Health & Safety Assessment Scheme. The SAFEcontractor scheme is designed to review and audit the health and safety policies, procedures and documentation of contractors. Not only are we members ourselves but we also work with companies locally and countrywide to enable them to gain their accreditation too.
